While walking up on the hill, I captured this image of the famous Jal Mahal peeping through the bushes! This picture was clicked from the hills of Nahargarh Fort

When I saw this, I wished we could go there.

You mean visiting Jaipur?

Yes when I had visited Jaipur. I have a nice picture of my parents with their back facing me gazing at this in the middle of the lake.

I’m sure it evokes a feeling of nostalgia. Must have been many years ago?

Neel, Entry to Jalmahal is restricted. There’s a court case against leasing of Jal Mahal to a private business man. The plan was to turn this place into a resort. PIL was filed and it is still pending with the court. You know how things are in our country, Neel.

Oh really! I did not know this. Don’t remember seeing any signboard also. But glad that a PIL was filed. Resorts can happen in other places.

Well, it’s a debatable topic. Personally, I feel heritage sites should never have a private ownership. This is not the only model for maintaining them.
