Jaipur Literature Festival | A Photo Journey

Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) is organized at Diggi Palace every year in the month of January in Jaipur. It is touted as the world’s largest free literature festival! Here are a few pictures in this blog on the Jaipur Literature Festival.

JLF is held every year in January. While it started as a literary event in 2006, over the years Jaipur Literature Festival has grown manifolds & has ceased to be merely a literary one! The event draws thousands of people every day to the festival venue. JLF is a five-day event and the sessions are held simultaneously at six locations inside Diggi Palace from 9.15 AM  to 6.15 PM. There is a JLF music show as well at a separate location in the evening. JLF after-parties are organized at Rambagh Palace Hotel and Clarks Amer Hotel in Jaipur.  Here are a few pictures from the Jaipur Literature Festival:

    1. Yes Somali, the overall mood in the festival was happy. it kind of becomes a place to hang out with your friends, listen to famous authors, get the book signed by them and indulge in some shopping or enjoy food!!! 🙂

      1. Okay. I’m not very active on fb though I’m present over there. I use instagram and Twitter as bloggers are pretty active on these two platforms. what name should I search you with on fb?

  1. Happy to check this out…especially because it is free and the largest such event!
A great way to socialize too. But why do they have parties?

The chai in kulhad looks so tempting, I had it once somewhere in India 😊

    1. I’m happy you liked it Alok. JLF parties are great platform to interact with famous authors, writers and personas on one to one basis. Kulhad chai is very popular here in Lit Fest too! Partly because of novelty and also because of the cold weather. Kulhad tea is very popular in Kolkatta, as well.
