Nature walk In Jaipur During Monsoon

This picture was shot during the recent trekking excursion in Jaipur. It’s quite invigorating to undertake a morning walk in the jungle and enjoy the nature. It’s a perfect getaway from the hustle bustle of daily life. Best enjoyed when you stash away your mobile phone. Just enjoy the fresh air and chirping of the birds as you hike around.

Luckily for us, getting away from the city to the jungle is not much of a problem. All it takes is 30 minutes drive as the city has quite a few jungles in the vicinity.

We ended up walking & hiking for two hours in this jungle. Before heading back I shot the following picture as the clouds continued to cover the Sun. The sky looked Dramatic. Quite synonymous with the current Monsoon season.

  3. Wonderful to have these jungles near Jaiput. My favourite rainforest excursion was one called the “Grouse Grind” in the city of Vancouver, Canada. I used to do this a couple of times a week for several months. I live far away now, but it was a wonderful experience to hike it regularly. There are some fine images on Google and Flickr.

    1. Thank You Caroline. The jungle you see is not always like this. In two months it’ll transform from green to brown! It’ll stay green just for 3 months.
      I used to post pictures regularly of sunrise on my blog but off late I have restrained myself as I’m not sure if people like them. I used to post for Friday skywatch. Now I’ll just poat them twice a month. 🙂

  14. Amazing photos Arv 🙂 You are so lucky to live close to the jungle. I live near a river and woods area and I walk there as much as possible too, usually 4 times a week 😉 It makes me feel calm so that’s why I go so often.

    1. Looks like we’re both nature lovers…
      It’s true that the kind of “high” nature can provide you…nothing else can! You’re lucky too Jennifer. In fact, the jungles in our vicinity undergoes complete transformation post March when it turns all thorny and poky with shedding of leaves. You’re better off that way!

      1. Thank you Arv, I checked out your blog just now and what a difference the monsoons make in Mother Nature. You captured it beautifully. Fall is coming up here and the leaves change color. This is my favorite season of all, plus it’s a bit cooler too. 🙂

      2. True. monsoon is amazing and India and Indians both depend on it greatly as a source water especially for agriculture.
        I’m sure the red ochre fall colour looks amazing. sadly we don’t have this phenomenon out here. BTW I love maple leaf! Do you live in Toronto?

I can imagine how happy everyone feels there when it rains. 🙂 Yes the fall colors are amazing, orange, yellow and reds, I will have to put some up on Instagram in October 🙂 You can see them there if you like. I live in Ottawa which is close to Toronto. We have the same weather here 🙂 You can visit Canada anytime!

      4. Great! I don’t have plans for Canada as of now. But Yes, the natural landscape really attracts me…tempts me…I love alpine weather and landscape! I have been reading a lot about Banff too! …May be someday..who knows! 🙂

      5. Banff is so beautiful especially in the winter with all the snow 🙂 Toronto is a bit of a concrete jungle 😉 Ottawa has more trees and alpine weather. If you do visit Canada, come in the summer or fall, winter is too cold!
