Jaipur is one of the most popular cities among tourists and travelers in India which makes it one of the top cities to feature in Instagram posts. People these days want to make a statement when they travel which explains why people post so many pictures on Instagram and Facebook. It is not surprising that the best-looking spots are crowded at most tourist attractions not just in Jaipur but everywhere. I’m sharing here the most Instagram-worthy spots in Jaipur. These are the most popular ones and attract the most likes on Instagram posts. You might have read about some of the places or even visited them during your visit to Jaipur. This is a mini Jaipur Travel Guide for photography lovers.
Most Instagrammable places in Jaipur
The following are the popular places for photography in Jaipur. These places are not what I recommend, rather these are the places that attract a large number of locals, travelers, and Instagrammaers. If you want more places you should check my post The Best Pre-Wedding places for photo-shoots in Jaipur
Amer Fort Jaipur
Ganesh Pol is the sought-after spot in Amer Fort for Instagram pictures. Amer Fort needs no introduction as it is the most popular tourist attraction in Jaipur and the most crowded too. Beautiful frescoes and paintings on the arch of this gate definitely make for a great backdrop. Do you want to make sure you get “people-free” pictures at Ganesh Pol? The best time to do so is either at 8 AM or between 2-3 PM when it’s less crowded.

Jaipur City Palace
Pritam Niwas in Jaipur City Palace is definitely the most popular Instagram spot in Jaipur. The four gates of Pritam Niwas Chowk are the favorite backdrop for the selfie posers. Peacock gate ranks high among the tourists among the four gates of City Palace. It’s a good idea to get your pictures clicked with a backdrop of each gate and pick the best for your Instagram post. With a premium ticket, you can access some rooms in City Palace which are not accessible with a routine ticket. These rooms are incredibly popular with Instagrammers.

Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal needs no introduction. Some people think it is the Eiffel Tower of Jaipur because it’s synonymous with the pink city. Both the color and design of Hawa Mahal are spell-binding. The best thing is that it requires no entry fee and is accessible throughout the day. Every traveler must visit Hawa Mahal for clicking the Instagram-worthy picture. Lately, most Instagrammers prefer the cafes opposite Hawa Mahal -The Tattoo Cafe and The Winds. This is the view one gets to see from Tattoo Cafe.
Hawa Mahal Entry Fee – Rs 50 for Indians. Rs 200 for overseas tourists. The main facade is however accessible to all without any charge as it is in Sirehdyodi Bazaar.

Nahargarh Fort
Nahargarh Fort is immensely popular among people for its beautiful sunsets. Read Nahargarh Fort Sunsets Experience. The most popular spot at Nahargarh Fort is either inside the Madhvendra Palace or near Padao bar. The latter overlooks the city and has amazing views. I suggest you pick both. Do note that Nahargarh Fort is a popular attraction and finding space for yourself might be difficult, especially during the weekends or public holidays.

Bar Palladio
Bar Palladio is not really a tourist attraction. It is the hippest bar cum lounge in Jaipur and the most sought-after too. Its peacock-blue fusion interior makes it unique. I’m sure you have never seen a place like this before. Want to read more about Bar Palladio? Read this post-Bar Palladio- a Chic bar in Jaipur
Bar Palladio Entry Fee – There is no entry fee but since it’s a bar cum lounge management reserves the right to admission. A drink is all that you need for entry!

Patrika Gate, Jawahar Circle
Patrika Gate in Jaipur has become one of the most popular spots to feature on Instagram posts. In fact, it is likely to replace popular places like Amer Fort and Hawa Mahal. Patrika Gate over the last few years has become very popular among photographers for pre-wedding shoots and Instagrammers. Often, it is hard to find empty space for photography. Do factor this when you visit Patrika Gate, especially on weekends and holidays.
Some of these are not merely the most Instagramable spots in Jaipur, they are part of the pink city’s history and culture. All these places are listed in every Jaipur Travel guide. It wouldn’t be wrong to mention that Jaipur has many Instagram-worthy spots.
In this post, I have only listed the top Instagrammable places in Jaipur but there are many more offbeat options too which I will list in the following post. Have you been to any of these spots? What do you think about these places? I will love to have a look at it. If you like these places for a photoshoot in Jaipur, do share them on your social media. Jaipur has grown far beyond the usual Hawa Mahal and Nahargarh Fort. Today, people visit Nahargarh Fort for sunset and sunrise. I can totally understand why you have those images, let’s blame it on the travel industry. I’m sure you will be able to find something new next time when you visit Jaipur, Jyoti! Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙂
