Black Bird & The Sunrise

“I am a flawed person. A brook with many stones, a clear blue sky with many blackbirds. I have many shortcomings. A rainbow that’s not long enough, a starry night with clouds. But I can only be thankful to the God who loves me just this way, and I can only be grateful to the people in my life who accept the clear blue sky with many blackbirds and who are patient with the rainbow that isn’t long enough” –  JoyBell C

I captured this picture during a heritage photo walk in Jaipur earlier this week. This photo walk took place at Ghat Ki Guni which has many beautiful ancient gardens built in the Mughal pattern – Charbagh.  Shot a few minutes after the sunrise.

    1. Lise, I have captured more sunrise pictures than sunset pictures. It is difficult to generalize but I do feel that the there is something nice about the moments preceding a sunrise. It’s a good time for introspection and plan your day. Do you get an opportunity to witness a sunrise?

    1. Sunita, I don’t think I can answer that! I don’t know but somehow I end up finding one around me. Although I post such pictures mostly on IG or FB. Earlier I use to post regularly on the blog but lately, I haven’t been doing so. I’m sure you will be able to find a few as well if start looking around. 🙂

    1. How true. I think we humans don’t understand that imperfections are part of life. Also we are always searching for optimal solutions which is difficult to achieve. You are a great poet and I’m sure you will be able to come up with a beautiful creation. 😊

  1. Arv, this quote is so profound that it says a lot in just few words, the subtle inspiration to be grateful for what we have or see is just one aspect, which can be discerned. It’s much more than that. Thanks for sharing it with a lovely picture!

    1. The reason I like this quote is that people around us are always finding reasons for not liking us or justifying their hatred towards us. There is no reason for us to be unhappy because of this; we all have faults. Human relationships are complicated. As we have discussed in past, it can be a constant trouble or make life worth living. Thanks for sharing your views. Appreciate this interaction 🙂

  2. I love the quotation. I’ve reached an age where I can accept my flaws, and appreciate everyone who also accept my flaws. Thanks for sharing.

    1. It’s a paradox. While we are blind to our own flaws we are so critical of others. I’m happy that you have accepted yourself as you are. Thanks for sharing your views Kay
