The Trishul

(This post has been created in response to Weekly Photo challenge – Trio)

The above picture of Trishul was shot in a Lord Shiva temple, located in jungles near Jaipur. Usually, Trishul can be seen hung above the dome of Shiva temple, as well as inside the sanctum along with Shivling.

This Trishul was inside the temple. The one clicked outside the temple can be seen in this link (posted earlier)

Trishul is synonymous with Lord Shiva. It denotes destructive power of Shiva. Destruction of Ego  & physical form and lead to spiritual world!  Therefore, it denotes three world – Physical world, world of mind and spiritual world.

For more details on what Trishul denotes, read my earlier post here-weekly photo challenge-symbol/ Trishul & Damru
