Skywatch Friday- Connect or Disconnect

Posted for  Skywatch Friday.
I often wonder, if at all we are connected with the nature looking at our “insulated” life?

By observing our behavior and lifestyle, it seems our life today is synced and connected more with our mobile devices than nature. Therefore, I find a disconnect between humans and nature. Whether this is good or bad, I leave that question for you to answer!

Have a look at this picture; I feel it depicts things better.

Great weather with an overcast sky at Nahargarh Biological Park. Posted for Skywatch Friday.

Mobile devices follow us everywhere and demand our attention, even in places where we should enjoy the simple pleasures of life like great weather and natural beauty!

  1. How we use the technology and digital devices depends on us. I think this phase will wear off as man has been returning to nature time and again. There is no substitute for the beauties we take for granted.
Thank you arv for creating the awareness in your own way. 🙂

  2. I am also going to disconnect in a week, only nature and me! That’s so true, Arv! Nowadays, we forget to enjoy nature and stay outdoors more, we are too dependent on modern gadgets, but we have to change that! Wonderful shot!

    1. Anna, technology seems to be getting powerful. We all have relegated the power of nature. while mobile and gadgets are important, but let’s not forget mother nature. I’m sure we’ll be much more happier in turn by putting away gizmo and focusing on things around us. 🙂
Do let me know your experience after few weeks, will love to hear from you!

    1. It’s a reality which we come across everyday and everywhere. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that even we are committing same crime…sometimes, at least. It’s hard to get away from the ever connected world. But then that’s what we all should do! Thanks for writing your thoughts here. Appreciate it! 🙂

  3. Nice image. You’re very right about the disconnect between humans and nature, which is sad, because humans ARE nature! It bugs me when I see people hanging out with their friends, and everyone is staring at their own cell phone. We’re disconnected from each other and from ourselves, too, I think.

    Great post!
