Witnessing a sunset seems to be one of the most sought experiences among travelers across the world. This explains why sunset points are extremely popular. In India, almost all popular hill stations have sunset points. Although sunrise is equally delightful, most people find it difficult to rise early to witness its glory. Here in Jaipur, the charm of a Sunset point seems to grow every day. A couple of years ago, I wrote a post on the most popular sunset point in Jaipur- Nahargarh Fort. Read Nahargarh Fort, the best sunset place in Jaipur? Back then, not many people were seeking a sunset experience. But things have changed quite a bit over the last few years. Here are the best sunset points in Jaipur.
Best Places For Sunset In Jaipur
1. Nahargarh Fort
As explained above, Nahargarh Fort was not so popular as sunset point in Jaipur, a couple of years ago. Owing to its popularity, the authorities have presently developed a sunset point in one of the sections of Nahargarh Fort.
This dedicated space allows one to enjoy an immersive sunset experience. The popularity of Nahargarh Fort is soaring because it is conveniently reachable by road. Read Nahargarh Fort, the best sunset place in Jaipur?
2. Sun Temple
Sun Temple or Surya Mandir, in my opinion, offers a spiritual sunset experience in Jaipur in comparison to Nahargarh Fort. It cannot be described in words; it is something to be experienced.
Sun Temple is historic. It is more than 250 years old. Do note accessibility of Sun Temple is not as good as Nahargarh Fort as it involves a small hike. Read A fascinating sunset at Sun Temple
3. Statute Circle
Statute Circle is definitely not a sunset point in Jaipur. Most residents would never connect it with a sunset. Here is a picture of a sunset at Statue Circle I captured with a Smartphone.
However, if you are fortunate, it offers an amazing sunset experience. The best part of a sunset at Statute Circle is that it is strategically located in the heart of the city.
4. Jaigarh Fort
Jaigarh Fort is one of the unknown places for sunset in Jaipur. A couple of places in the fort allow a stunning sunset view. The first one is near Jaivan, the largest cast iron and the other is at the remotest end of the fort.
5. Hawa Mahal
The uppermost floor of Hawa Mahal remains a worthy place to enjoy the beauty of a setting sun in Jaipur. Make note you require to rush up as the entry closes at 5.30 PM. But once inside, you have some buffer.
Very soon, Hawa Mahal may open up for travelers under night tourism initiatives. Read Hawa Mahal Travel Guide
6. Central Park
Central Park Jaipur is strategically located in the heart of the city. There are a couple of places in Central park that offer a great sunset experience. There are a few spots on the jogging track allowing one to enjoy a splendid sunset view. Another favorite spot in the park is the flag post. Read all you need to know about Central Park Jaipur

Your sunsets are truly spectacular, Arv! I wonder whether their beauty is partly due to air pollution. Great photography as always.

Certainly, we don’t have very clear sky because it’s a thriving city. In contrast, you must be having much cleaner skies.

Lovely shots arv, though the haze adds an eerie feeling. My favorite image is the one from Statute Circle. I have some beautiful pictures of sunset, taken from my patio. Once we were stuck at the freeway at sunset and the experience was out of this world! It seemed we were in an orange ocean. Pictures taken from my car were nothing close to real view. I even wrote a poem about it. 🙂

I guess elements of nature like clouds, haze, and fog add to the frame. I’m glad getting stuck in car turned out to be magical. I agree, a stunning sky is a visual treat. It is true that picture cannot do justice to the real thing. 🙂

I somehow missed your post and now I am seeing this being just back from Jaipur. But through your previous posts and your personal guidance, I had a better understanding of how to make out the most of Jaipur. I did manage to see the beautiful sunset from Nahargarh Haveli but I also wished to see the sunset from Jaigarh fort but could not manage to do so. These are some fantastic sunset captures Arv.

I’m glad you could enjoy sunset from Nahargarh, Sarmistha. You still managed to see quite a lot given the paucity of time. I’m happy my posts helped you to explore the city. I’m looking forward to your post and pictures. Hopefully, soon!
