Jaipur itinerary for 4 days

The following Jaipur 4 day itinerary, although designed for families, can be used by any traveler. Some of the places listed here can be replaced with other tourist attractions in Jaipur. Itinerary is presented in a day wise format and you are free to switch the days as it suits you.

Day one

This is the day you arrive in Jaipur and check in to your hotel or BnB. After you check in and finish your lunch at your hotel, you only have a few hours to explore.

Afternoon

  • Jaipur City Palace

Jaipur City Palace needs no explanation. It used to be the residence of the erstwhile rulers during the princely times. While we don’t live in that era, the descendants of the rulers still reside in Jaipur City Palace. Some sections of the royal residence can now be accessed and viewed, mainly the museum section and the famous four gates of Jaipur.

Evening

  • Chokhi Dhani

Chokhi Dhani is an ethnic Rajasthani village experience. Many travelers feel it is over rated and over priced. While this is true, especially in light of the fact that branches of Chokhi Dhani exist in other cities, it does offer something unique. It introduces the visual elements and the environment of an ethnic local village. From a cultural point of view, especially for children, Chokhi Dhani is still relevant despite how many people feel. It is best to visit around 7 pm.

Day Two

Morning

  • Walking Tour in Jaipur

A walking tour in Jaipur is a good introduction to the city, its culture and intricacies. Why is the concept of walking tours rising across the world? A walking tour with a local is the best way to experience a city, showing travelers aspects that they themselves would never discover on their own, in spite of all their research. The walking tour leader shares his knowledge and experiences accumulated over the years. Many travelers opt for these tours because it allows them to interact with a local and understand the destination in a holistic way. Having undertaken a walking tour in Jaipur, travelers can understand tourist attractions in a much better way. Ideally, a 2 hour Jaipur walking tour would be ideal; if pressed for time, a one and a half hour would be a good choice. You can also undertake a guided Jaipur walking tour, contact Jaipur Retold. • Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal is one of the most photographed monuments in Jaipur. Most travelers click a picture of its facade and move on. It is a pity that travelers do not explore Hawa Mahal. Part of the reason is tourism lobby would prefer travelers spend their time where it suits them best. The cost of an entry ticket to Hawa Mahal is definitely worth a visit. It is a great place to enjoy the view of surrounding tourist attractions. Read in-depth Hawa Mahal travel blog – Hawa Mahal Guide

Albert Hall Museum is a one of a kind building in Jaipur; probably the best specimen of Indo-Saracenic architecture. It holds some of the most unique exhibits in India.
